Origins
One day in March 2024, a group of Latinos residing in Chatham-Kent saw that the Latin community lacked a dedicated space for cultural exchange and preservation. They came together with the goal of creating gatherings where Latin cultural heritage can flourish, fostering connections and preserving traditions for generations to come.
We aim to promote our culture by celebrating our language, traditions, and culture in Canadian society by championing diversity, and equity, and fostering a more inclusive and cohesive society in Chatham-Kent

Goals
Our bigger goal is the "Casa Latina CK". Establishing a central hub where our traditions and customs can thrive and be shared with the boarder community The project is to ignite a cultural renaissance right here in Chatham-Kent! Picture a dynamic hub pulsating with the rhythms, flavors, and traditions of Latin America.

We celebrate the diversity of our community and that of Chatham-Kent: multiple generations, diverse backgrounds, different stories. We welcome the diverse thoughts and voices of our community and work together to create an inclusive and safe environment. We foster equity, equality and trust, essential pillars for building a fair and sustainable society. These values are essential to achieving the goals we have set as a community in Chatham-Kent.
Our vision
Convert the Latino Community of Chatham-Kent into a stronghold and close-knit community that is fully integrated into Canadian society and actively contributes to the cultural and professional well-being of its members. A community proud of its cultural heritage that transmits its traditions to future generations. Strengthen our social fabric by celebrating and participating in Latino-Canadian art and culture.
